Helise Harrington, JD

Helise Harrington, JD, spent over 20 years negotiating business agreements for companies ranging in size from multi-national corporations to family businesses.  For six years she was Diversity Partner for an AmLaw 100 law firm where she mediated conflicts in the workplace and coached attorneys and staff in a multitude of areas.

Helise currently practices as a family and divorce mediator and conflict resolution coach.  She trained with the Center for Understanding in Conflict, the Ackerman Institute for the Family, the Westchester and Rockland Mediation Centers of CLUSTER, INC., NYSDRA, the Dispute Resolution Section of the NYS Bar Association, the New York Association of Collaborative Professionals and the Coach Training Alliance.

Helise received a J.D. from New York University of Law, an M.A. in African History from Columbia University and a B.A. with distinction, Phi Beta Kappa, from Stanford University.

She is a member of the New York State Council on Divorce Mediation, Pace University’s Moderate Means Divorce Panel, NYSDRA, the Dispute Resolution Section of the New York State Bar Association and the Westchester Women’s Bar Association and the Academy of Professional Family Mediators.  She is a longtime volunteer facilitator with the Bereavement Center, the Pace Women’s Justice Center and the Westchester and Rockland Mediation Centers of Cluster.
